Greetings,
My name is Megan Rasmussen and I am the founder of
Adoptions Forever. We are a Pennsylvania licensed 501
c3 International Adoption and Humanitarian Aid
Organization. We are accredited to place children
throughout the entire United States and with American
families living abroad. Our focus is to make adopting
more affordable for more families so more children
will have their forever home.
For the past 25 years I have worked in a variety of
environments, all relating to children. I received my
B.A. from Villanova University in 1975 and my MSW in
1977. My first job was working in a hospital as a
medical Social Worker, counseling and providing
support to the sick, physically challenged and the
disenfranchised. I later returned to school and
obtained my MBA in 1982. Since that time I have been
involved in different capacities working to fulfill
the needs of children.
During this time I married and both my husband and I
chose adoption as the way to build our family. Our
daughters were adopted from Peru and Guatemala. I know
the success firsthand of cross- cultural adoption and
know in a way I could not have known before this
experience, just how much diversity strengthens
families.
Having traveled to both my daughters' countries,
coming from the land of plenty, it was heart wrenching
to witness the endemic poverty in both these Latin
third world nations. Seeing is believing! When I left
Peru and Guatemala, with final decrees and a baby in
my arms, I knew in my heart of hearts, there was
something more I could do. I have since dedicated
myself to the time, energy and financial resources
required to make these international adoptions a
successful and meaningful experience. With my
education, professional background and international
adoption experience, I will be able to provide you
with needed support and knowledge throughout your
adoption journey and beyond. We believe integrity and
honesty are essential to our relationships and are
committed to providing quality service at very
competitive rates.
We are currently working with Guatemala and soon we'll
be launching programs in other countries. We are proud
of our Humanitarian Aid Program that we have through
our non-profit corporation to support orphanages and
improve the lives of those children left behind. As a
non-profit organization, any contribution is tax
deductible.
